Book List: For The Little Farmers

Nikki and I didn't grow up in the country, but we always looked forward to visiting our grandparents on their dairy farm in North Dakota. We rode on tractors, used haybales as a playground, found nests of kittens in secret hiding places, and learned the importance of walking down the very center of the parlor aisle during milking.

It was our fond memories of the farm that influenced both Nikki and I to live more rurally when we started families of our own. Though we're by no means farmers, we have valued the peacefulness of country living, benefitted from fresh air and exercise the endless yard projects provide, and even tried our hand at raising a few different kinds of small farm animals. All the while, our kids have been at our sides enthusiastically learning the ropes too!

Whether your family runs a farm for your livelihood, has a little hobby operation going, or you're just a parent to a kiddo who is obsessed with tractors - Here are some books we think your kids will especially enjoy!
